For over 60 years, Kaleido has been helping thousands of families in Quebec and New Brunswick prepare for their children’s future with ease.
Kaleido was created by a group of young graduates from Laval University in Quebec City who believed that the concept of group savings could make education more accessible to more people. Their ambitious initiative helped lay the foundation and development of education savings in Canada.
Today, the RESP continues to evolve, but our mission continues: to help each child achieve their full potential by accompanying them throughout their journey towards imagining a brighter future.

The name Kaleido is inspired by the kaleidoscope, a symbol of diversity, evolution and multiple possibilities. It evokes children’s unique backgrounds and the plans for the future that education savings can support.
From the outset, the Kaleido Foundation has been a non-profit organization whose organizational structure puts the interests of children and investors first, since profits do not have to be returned to shareholders. As a result, our mission guides all our decisions and services.
Our steady growth over the decades has enabled us to build solid assets (over $2B under management), a guarantee of stability for our customers.
Since May 2022, Kaleido has distributed only the IDEO+ range of individual RESPs. Simple, flexible and focused on sustainable investment, the three portfolios are offered with no sales charges and are suitable for both conservative and balanced investor profiles.
Kaleido’s individual plans have no sales charges or closing fees.
The only applicable fees are the administration or management fees specific to an investment fund; they will vary according to the plan chosen and the associated services. Kaleido prioritizes transparency: all fees are clearly explained in our prospectus so that families can make an informed choice.
